The Bi-Metal (BIM) construction of the ST-JSB T101BRF promotes long life and flexible cutting through hardwood and timber sheet and fibre board materials. This reverse cut ground and tapered jigsaw blade, provides smooth, clean cuts to the top surface of the materials, 3mm to 30mm in thickness.
Disconnect the power/ remove the battery prior to fitting or removing a blade
If you have a variable speed Jigsaw, select faster speeds for soft materials, and slower speeds for harder materials such as Steel.
If your Jigsaw has an oscillating option, this will increase the speed of cut, but reduce the finish quality.
Always ensure that the foot plate is flat to the surface before cutting
When starting a cut, make gentle contact with the material, forcing the cut will cause the blade to jump and damage the teeth
Once you have completed your cut, wait for the blade to stop, before removing from the material
Blades that cut on the up stroke will leave a feathered edge to the surface of the material, but are smoother and easier to use. Select a reverse cut/ down cut blade to ensure a clean finish to the cutting
